Robot Vacuum Ownership-Cost Calculator
Add up the recurring cost of a robot vacuum — with a transparent formula and your own prices, never ours.
A robot vacuum's price tag is only part of what it costs. Bags, filters, brushes, mop pads, cleaning solution, and electricity recur every year. This calculator does the arithmetic transparently — you enter the prices (copy them from the Amazon listing on the day you buy), and the tool never assumes a price for you.
The formula
Annual ownership cost = (purchase price ÷ years you keep it) + Σ(part price × replacements per year) + (kWh per year × electricity rate) + cleaning solution per year
Calculator
This fills only how often a part is replaced, using the manufacturer-stated interval in the table below. It never fills a price.
| Item | Price each ($) | Replacements per year |
|---|---|---|
| Robot purchase price | ||
| Dust bags one per auto-empty cycle change | ||
| Filters | ||
| Main brush / roller | ||
| Side brushes | ||
| Mop pads per set | ||
| Cleaning solution total $ per year | — | |
| Electricity kWh per year × $ per kWh |
Enter your prices above to see a breakdown.
Replacement intervals manufacturers actually state
Only intervals we could source from a manufacturer or Amazon US listing are shown. Most brands publish few of them, so treat missing rows as unknown, not zero.

Assumptions and limits
- Prices are yours. They change constantly, so this site does not display or assume them.
- Electricity is your estimate. Manufacturers rarely publish annual energy use. A plug-in power meter gives a real figure for your usage.
- Intervals are guidance, not measurements. Real replacement timing depends on pets, floor type, and how often you run the robot.
- Compatible third-party parts can change the totals; check fit for your exact model before relying on them.
